"Since its inception, LULAC has fought for the equality of minorities. All individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, country of origin or sexual orientation, deserve equal rights. Everyone should be granted the freedom to marry their partner be protected under the same laws that are established for heterosexual couples."
-- League of United Latin American Citizens Executive Director, Brent Wilkes, in a statement put out yesterday after the LULAC national membership passed a resolution to support marriage equality for LGBT people. Over 20,000 members attended the convention where the resolution was passed.
