Having spent the last 24 hours dealing with sharing the name of a crazed gunman, it has been a bit difficult to write anything, much less something light hearted.
That being said, rather than my usual format of divas battling it out covering originals from stage and screen - I am going for parodies this week of Gilbert and Sullivan's "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General" from their 1879 comic opera The Pirates of Penzance. I need to laugh.
The idea came from contributor E. Winter Tashlin - and it is exactly what I needed.
There are tons of these out there, and half that I chose were by no-names rather than stars.
I usually ask you to choose who you think did it best - but this week I'll just ask, what made you laugh the most? Did I miss a funny one that we should all see? Link it in the comments.
Check out the clips after the jump. (Hint: My favorite involves a Carrot).
