By my senior year of high school, I basically found myself thrust into an unofficial leadership role for my high school's fledgling Gay-Straight Alliance. I say "unofficial" because there weren't any election speeches, or elections rather. Stepping up, as the Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout troop at the time, came naturally to me, although my ideas about activism weren't more technical than a hand-painted sign. Here are 10 tips, brought to you by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), that add dimension to your campus' GSA.
