The 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Tuesday that they "are thrilled that the Lesbian and Gay Band has accepted their invitation to participate!"

"The talented groups chosen to participate in the Inaugural Parade reflect the spirit, values, and diversity of our great nation," President Obama said in a press release. "Vice President Biden and I are honored to have them join us in the parade."

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) notes:

The Lesbian and Gay Band Association is a musical organization comprised of concert and marching bands from cities across America that provides a network of lesbian and gay bands. They first were invited to participate in an Inaugural parade for President Obama and Vice President Biden's first inauguration in 2009, marking the first time an openly LGBT group has been invited to participate in the parade.

See who's participating on their website where they have also posted a list of what music selections they intend to play. Here's a list of the other bands participating in the parade.
