takei_funnyordie.pngThe paradoxically named and increasingly irrelevant National Organization for Marriage is notorious for desperate attention-seeking behavior, picking fights it can't win, and stirring up phony outrage.

Their latest target is actor, author, and social media megastar George Takei. NOM is very angry about a recent satirical video narrated by Takei and featuring gay actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Brad Goreski that turns the infamous 1961 propaganda film Boys Beware on its head and warns viewers about the dangerous individuals who oppose marriage equality.

It was Takei's (satirical) description of a typical homophobe that had Brian particularly peeved:

The "offensive" phrase too upsetting for Brian Brown to print was "pole smoker."

Horrible, right? So you need to send him $500 to fight Takei's "unbridled hatred and bigotry" towards supporters of marriage discrimination.

Good luck with that one, NOM. George Takei has over 4 million Facebook fans; you can't even get a full house for your hate rallies without busing people in or resorting to Photoshop trickery. So you keep right on fighting George Takei. We'll keep on winning.
