Capital Pride: Slowed Down & Sped Up

Last weekend was Capital Pride here in DC; Jerame and I joined managing editor John Becker, his husband, Michael, and our friend, Matt Rose, to watch the parade. No matter the city, the parade is always my favorite part of Pride weekend. Since it was John and Michael's first Pride in DC, it was even better watching their reactions to the various floats and marchers. (We had a great time trying to guess which religious delegation would be coming along next. Even the Mormons and Baptists had contingents, but the Sikhs and Muslims were strangely absent!)

When I saw these two videos from Metro Weekly video guru Aram Vartian, I knew I had to share them. One is the entire parade sped up incredibly fast and the other is a beautiful slow-mo of the parade's highlights. Very cool. Spend 4 minutes to watch them both. It'll make you proud.
