david_caleb.jpgWedding bells will ring this week for David Badash -- a former Bilerico contributor, founder and editor-in-chief of the New Civil Rights Movement -- and his partner of five years, Caleb Eigsti.

The couple will tie the knot this Friday, June 28, in a private ceremony in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where they were engaged in 2011.

It seems fitting that David and Caleb, longtime freedom-to-marry advocates, will wed during the same week that the Supreme Court announces the future of marriage equality and what we're all hoping is the demise of Section 2 of the so-called "Defense of Marriage Act."

I hope Bilerico readers will join me in congratulating David and Caleb on their engagement and upcoming wedding and wishing them joy, success, and long life as they begin their marriage journey together.
