Back in 2009, Glee actor Corey Monteith gave Bilerico Project our first "celebrity endorsement."

I ran into Monteith in DC back when Glee first started airing and he graciously posed for pictures. Later when he saw me working the rope line at an HRC event, he stopped to say hello and record the shout-out for Bilerico Project. We've used the video ever since on our "How do you say Bilerico?" page.

It was announced late Saturday night that the Monteith was found dead in a hotel room from a drug overdose.

Corey Monteith was open about his struggles with addiction and tried to help others with the same issue. He was a class act - and he truly was "the jazz."
