Proof Cord Jefferson Is the Sexiest Gawker Writer

Gawker is not a website known for its maturity and stellar reporting on social and political issues. The New Yorker it is most definitely not. Which means, of course, that it's a daily stop on my internet roadtrip.

The site's sexiest writer is Cord Jefferson. Like Neil Patrick Harris, I'm quite confident that Cord is secretly in love with me and just doesn't know it. Unlike Neil Patrick Harris, Cord seems to be straight - a technicality that will surely be overlooked once he gazes upon my loveliness and experiences my glowing shiny personality.

Apparently Cord is also Gawker's smartest writer. I've followed his writing about the Trayvon Martin case and was pleasantly surprised to discover that he wasn't just a big bag of good lookin'. His reporting on the surfer riots in Huntington Beach, California and "the damaging lawlessness and savagery of white culture," however, firmly cemented his place in my snarky and cynical soul.

Apparently MSNBC's Chris Hayes has also discovered the awesomeness that is Cord. Together they complete the tongue-in-cheek seventh circle of world weariness required to discuss the fucked up racial stereotypes perpetuated by American media. It's a gay nerd orgasm watching these two hot straight men as they poke and prod white surfers and build off of each other to a climax of sarcasm and scorn.

(Cord, if you're reading this, I like long walks on the beach, pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain. I do have a husband of 15 years already, but divorce is an option if you're willing to be my roommate.)
