fewer-than-ten.jpgIt's a tough time to be an "ex-gay" activist. As a counterweight to June's LGBT Pride Month, the Family Research Council -- an SPLC-certified anti-gay hate group -- tried desperately to make "Ex-Gay Pride Month" happen in July. But they just couldn't get it off the ground: citing alleged "harassment" and "anti-ex-gay extremism," they called the whole thing off.

But if at first you don't succeed...

The "ex-gays" tried again, holding a lobby day on Capitol Hill this week and a flashy press conference in front of the Supreme Court on Wednesday. According to Right Wing Watch, American Family Radio host Sandy Rios boldly predicted that "thousands of ex-gays" would descend on D.C. for the press conference.

But when the big day came, fewer than ten people showed up.

Check out a video of the tragic event after the jump.

Just for fun, contrast Wednesday's lackluster turnout with this photo I snapped on a cold day last March, when hundreds of people jammed the plaza and sidewalk in front of the Supreme Court at the United for Marriage rally in support of marriage equality.

This is what winning looks like, folks.
