any_given_tuesday.jpgThe L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center released a heartbreaking new video last week highlighting the plight of homeless LGBT youth and drawing attention to the pervasiveness of this problem in Los Angeles.

In the video, titled "Any Given Tuesday," a young man is kicked out of his house after his parents discover that he's gay. He very quickly finds himself in a number of awful situations, including using drugs, engaging in survival sex, and attempting suicide. The teen is also robbed and raped.

An astonishing 40% of L.A.'s homeless youth are LGBT.

"Any Given Tuesday" features appearances by Jamie Foxx, Lisa Ling, Elton John, David Furnish, and James Wood. The LA Gay & Lesbian Center premiered it Saturday at a benefit event.

Watch the video after the jump. It's six minutes long, but time well spent.
