Kilcullen_Local10_photo.JPGDanita Kilcullen, co-founder of the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Tea Party, is once again making headlines for controversial online activity.

In an angry, stereotype-laden email obtained late last month by the Sun-Sentinel, Kilcullen claims that the Broward County Republican Party is being "all but taken over" by the Log Cabin Republicans, which she calls "a thug organization." Her tirade was triggered by a press release from the national Log Cabin Republicans that had been forwarded along by the president of the local LCR chapter. The release praised the Senate's passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

Kilcullen's email reads in full:

We must fight with all we have... We must put pressure on the House like has never been seen before. I'll be damned if I will ever be forced to hire someone with orange hair, body/neck/face covered with tattoos, multiple piercings, or a man in a dress... or for that matter, a demonstrative effeminate male or purposeful butch-looking female. The Log Cabins are the same lobbyist organization that has all but taken over BREC; and besides that, we have someone on the Board of BREC who is using her position to openly put pressure on some BREC members to stand for same-sex marriage.

This is the same group who, based on nothing other than his recent stand for gay marriage, supports Chris Christie and who publicly worked against Cuccinelli for his stand for traditional marriage. Keep in mind, this is a thug organization with only their own "special interests" in play. I wonder what they will do with democrat Charlie Crist now running for governor? I'm betting on them to vote for Charlie, along with some other mousey republicans. I will now be accused of 'splitting' BREC. I am not! I am in standing with the Republican Platform, which is what I stated the very night I was sworn-on to BREC. We must stop this in short!

This is not Kilcullen's first brush with bigotry. As Michael Emanuel Rajner reported this summer here at Bilerico, she got herself in hot water after she told Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton to "Go be an African" on Twitter. Kilcullen didn't like the fact that Braxton expressed sympathy for the family of murder victim Trayvon Martin.

Kilcullen continued her racist attacks on Facebook, throwing in an anti-Semitic rant against Anthony Weiner for good measure. She then turned around and denied making the bigoted posts altogether, claiming that her Facebook account had been hacked... by Republican Party officials.

I wonder what cockamamie excuse Ms. Kilcullen will concoct to try and slither out of this latest kerfuffle?
