hbo-looking.jpgLast night was the premier of Looking, HBO's new half-hour series about a trio of gay friends navigating life and love in San Francisco.

It's already caused quite a stir online: some people say they found it fun and engaging, while others didn't much care for either the acting or the plot.

Additionally, some have said that they thought Looking presented an honest view of the way some people experience urban gay life, particularly in San Francisco. But others say that scenes depicting cruising and sex in a public park reinforce unhelpful anti-gay stereotypes that the LGBT community has worked long and hard to debunk.

Did you watch Looking? If you did, what were your thoughts about episode 1? How did you feel about the way it presented modern urban gay life, gay sexuality, etc.? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.

If, like me, you didn't watch it last night, never fear: HBO uploaded the full episode to YouTube. (They've disabled embedding, so I can't include it here -- click here to watch instead.)

Check it out, then weigh in!
