kit-harington-shirtless-jon-snow.jpgLast week, Game of Thrones actress Sibel Kekilli (Shae) joined co-stars Carice van Houten (Melisandre) and Finn Jones (Ser Loras Tyrell) in calling for more male nudity -- and more guy-on-guy action -- on the HBO hit series.

This week, actor Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, revealed in a new GQ cover story that he's at least reluctantly willing to bare all himself. "It's only right, if you're going to make a show where nudity and sex is a large part of it, that you be a part of that," Harington said.

Then journalist Chris Heath asks what we're all thinking:

So you're happy to brandish your manhood if so commanded?

[Harington] pauses. "I wouldn't say I'd be happy about it."

But you would do it?

Another, longer pause. He looks up at me as though I'm walking him into a trap. "I'm not saying. Because I don't know. It would have to be fucking well deserved."

He also reveals that he missed his only chance to appear nude onscreen so far: a scene last season where Jon Snow jumped naked into a rock pool was filmed with a double due to an unfortunate ankle injury. "So the only time you saw my ass," Harington admits, "it wasn't my ass."

Perhaps most importantly, though, we learn that Harington-- like all young actors in the show -- is contractually obligated to disrobe onscreen if the show's production team asks him to.

*ahem* Note to Game of Thrones producers: make it happen.
