Last week the British government banned the sale of amyl nitrate, also known as "poppers." The Psychoactive Substances Bill, which became law last week, bans the substance and anyone caught selling them will face up to 7 years in prison.

This seems really extreme, but then again, there is a disturbing new trend of people starting to drink poppers. Just this week in the U.K. five individuals downed a bottle of Rush or Liquid Gold and had to be rushed to the hospital.

The accident took place at the Parklife music festival in Manchester, U.K., not only were these 5 individuals sent to the hospital, but over 400 bottles of poppers were seized by police.

Chief Inspector Gary Simpson, said "We are now extremely concerned that people are drinking poppers and this poses a significant risk to life and would urge anyone using, or considering using them or any 'legal high' to cease from doing so immediately, before it's too late."

We would like to offer free advice to our readers: Don't Drink Poppers.
