Saturday Night Live, long known for its sexism, delivered a moment of sheer dyke delight this weekend, as out lesbian Kate McKinnon portrayed out lesbian tennis legend Billie Jean King in the "Weekend Update" news segment.

McKinnon practically sparkles with glee in the role, as "King" talks about being part of Obama's delegation to the 2014 Winter Olympics in anti-gay Russia. "There is no demographic in this world that gives less of a flip than 70-year-old lesbians. All I need to survive is a clean canteen and a sweater."

The real-life King says she is "very proud" to represent America at the Games, both "as an athlete, and as a gay woman," she said. "I'm thrilled."
