An Emotional Signing of Oregon Conversion Therapy Ban

On Monday Governor Kate Brown of Oregon, who also happens to be the nation's first openly LGBT Governor, signed legislation that bans conversion therapy for minors.

As you can see in the video of the signing ceremony, she clearly moved by the passing of the legislation.

The Bill's language includes "attempting to change behaviors or expressions of self or to reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same gender."

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are attempting to pass nationwide legislation banning exgay therapy.
